Positioning of the Group in the DX market

A challenge facing the Japanese IT industry is that personnel with good IT knowledge are in short supply, especially in operating companies. Additionally, there has been an overreliance on scratch development tailored to individual companies by specific suppliers, often resulting in a disconnect between management and IT.
Furthermore, a surge in the supply of DX solutions in recent years has made it extremely difficult to select the appropriate ones. In this context, the ProjectHoldings Group characteristically adopts a unique approach by positioning itself to provide cross-business support to operating companies, regardless of their divisions, and accompanies them throughout the implementation and operation of a combination of appropriate solutions.

Since its establishment in 2016 with the corporate philosophy of “Creating a Project-based Society,” the Company has been expanding its business with a focus on consulting services in the digital transformation area. From April 2022, we have transitioned to a group management structure by acquiring four companies through mergers and acquisitions and establishing one new company. While we continue to focus on consulting services as our core business, we will support each of the Group companies in rapid growth. Our corporate group will develop continuously, leading to the transformation of Japanese society into a project-based model. To achieve this, we believe it is crucial to foster and develop a large number of professional talents who will lead the next generation. We will identify the “potential personnel” who will lead the next generation, foster and develop them as “professional talents,” and then allow these “professional talents” to gather, forming a vortex based on their own visions and becoming the driving force of social change. To convey this concept, we have formulated a design in which the ‘P’ gathers like a whirlpool for our corporate logo, and we have also been working within the Company to compile our professional code of conduct as the “PHD Professional Ism.” Starting in 2014, we see ourselves standing at the turning point from a phase in which we have achieved rapid growth as a venture company to a phase in which we aim for long-term, sustainable growth. While cherishing the assets we have built up to date, we will commit to business management with new aspirations. We would like to ask all of our shareholders and investors for your continued support and guidance.

Professional experience

At Skylight Consulting Inc., he was involved in projects such as launching new businesses for one of Japan's largest media companies. Founded the Company in January 2016 and has served as Representative Director and CEO (current position), primarily responsible for planning and executing organizational development strategies and business strategies.

Ryo Matsumura

Managing Director and CFO

Professional experience

At Mizuho Bank, Ltd., he was responsible for corporate sales and industrial research for large companies in the energy industry. In addition to writing reports and proposing business strategies, he was involved in originating investment projects and supporting the formulation of medium-term management plans, etc. Joined the Company in June 2021 as Director and CFO in charge of business management (current position).

Yuki Matsumoto

Outside Director

Professional experience

After serving as Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Gunosy Inc. and Executive Officer and CTO of DMM.com LLC, he has served as Representative Director and CTO of LayerX Inc. (current position). He has held the position of Outside Director at the Company since April 2021. He has led the management and technology organization reform and digitalization of businesses at multiple tech companies. He also currently serves as Director of the Japan CTO Association and as Outside Director of dely, Inc.

Kazumasa Yanagisawa

Outside Director

Professional experience

He worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley Securities Co., Ltd. (now Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co., Ltd.) and served as a partner at McKinsey & Company, where he supported business due diligence and value-enhancement activities for numerous private equity funds. He has held the position of Outside Director at the Company since March 2022. Additionally, he currently serves as Representative Partner of Logos Partners LLC and as Outside Director of Prored Partners Co., Ltd.

Aiko Yuki

Professional experience

At NTT DATA Corporation, she was responsible for corporate sales in the telecommunications, mobile, and broadband industries. She spearheaded proposals for establishing new services and systems and was engaged in projects such as the launch of new businesses for clients. She has served as Full-time Corporate Auditor of the Company since March 2022 (current position).

Akiko Hashiguchi

Professional experience

After joining Inoue Saito Eiwa Audit Corporation (currently KPMG AZSA LLC), she established Hashiguchi Certified Public Accountant Office in September 1999 and assumed the position of representative (current position). After serving as an auditor of Global Kids Corp., auditor of Global Kids Company Corp. and auditor of GKS Corp., she has served as Outside Director (Audit and Supervisory Committee member) of the Company since March 2024 (current position).
